Starlink delivers high-speed satellite internet across most of regional WA, including the Coral Coast, South West, and Esperance regions where mobile coverage is patchy or non-existent.

How it works

Setting up Starlink is simple. The compact dish comes in a carry case and is running in a few minutes:

1. Unpack, remove the dish and router from the carry case
2. Position, place the dish on flat ground with a clear view of the sky
3. Power on, connect to your vehicle’s power or battery system
4. Connect, join the WiFi network on your devices

No technical knowledge required. We walk you through the setup when you collect your rental.

One plan, unlimited data

We run a single plan and keep it simple: unlimited high-speed data with no caps and no per-GB overage bill. The longer you stay out, the less you pay per day.

• $179 a week for a 7 to 13 day hire
• $22 a day once you pass 14 days
• $19 a day once you pass 25 days

The seven-day minimum applies, and use is subject to Starlink’s fair-use policy. Added to a camper hire there is no separate bond on the Starlink itself. A standalone Starlink hire, without a camper, takes a $300 refundable bond plus a 10% deposit, subject to availability.

Pickup is in Perth and there are no setup or delivery fees, we do not ship units or returns. Use is Western Australia only, with Uluru and Darwin the only interstate exceptions.

Coverage and performance

Starlink provides strong coverage along all our recommended touring routes in Western Australia:

• Perth to Exmouth (Coral Coast), strong coverage throughout
• South West (Margaret River, Denmark, Albany), reliable performance
• Perth to Esperance, works well along the route and at campsites
• Regional towns and campsites, generally strong signal

Performance may vary in heavily forested areas or deep valleys. Speeds of up to 200 Mbps have been recorded, with 50 to 150 Mbps common in practice.
